Lumes chandeliers have been produced by Sevsevil family in Istanbul since 1927. We specialise in the production of crystal & metal chandeliers, wall brackets, candelabrums, lighting fixtures and architectural lighting. We also manufacture custom-made designs and specialise in periodic execution of special project chandeliers. Each product is manufactured by utilising the traditional and antique skills acquired by our old masters in wood carving, metal chasing, crystal mouth blowing and the hand gilding of gold on crystals for new and artistic methods of our products. Our projects accomplished world wide include Royal Palaces, Public Buildings, Mosques, Temples, Churches, Private Homes and some of the world's most prestigious Hotels. Today we can describe ourselves as a fully integrated institution with the contribution of over 300 artists. We are reputed for our designs and the production of the finest chandeliers in the world. We beleive that we are the only masters in this field, producing tomorrow's antiques for selected and prestigious interiors of today. For projects linked with interior consultants, designers, decorators and architects we are able to offer special prepared designs according to their requirements. We have a whole variation of different models that enable us to complete the entire projects in many different locations. Our special catalogues include over ten-thousand different models and sizes of special designed Lumes chandeliers which are regularly updated with new designs. Most of them are patented and trade registered to protect our copy rights. When we create our models we get inspirations from antique art effects, museum display pieces, private collectors museum pieces, our own antique collections and architectural details from past civilisations which makes us distinguished from monotonus chandelier producers. Lumes company was established in 1927 by Ltf Sevsevil our grandfather, who specialised in antique chandelier restoration. His work has been the foundation of our establishment till our time. His son Mehmet Sevsevil our father continuous with his father's traditions and is the root of the manufacturing of our crystal chandelier industrial production stage. Then to ourselves in the present date, the third generation, Mr Burhan Sevsevil and Mr Ltf Sevsevil join the family profession and the company. We hold dear our family traditions, which we will pass onto future generations to keep alive the art of making the world's finest chandeliers. A Lumes chandelier, because it is a life time experience. Our History Lumes Company was established by Ltf Sevsevil in 1920 as an antique dealer. During the following years his son Mehmet Sevsevil changed the path to a different angle by putting a step into the manufacturing of crystal and metal chandeliers in 1927 and leaving the antique business partly behind. Since the last 30 years the business runs by his sons, who are Ltf Sevsevil & Burhan Sevsevil as well as with the artistic angle and the experience contrubution of Mehmet Sevsevil. The family finds their roots from father's side with Imam Begavi and Bezmi Ara the Sixth Kadin Efendi officially married to Ottoman Sultan Abdulmecid.
